A new group based in Kent formed in response to concerns about the impact on the landscape of the increasing use of polytunnels. The unique landsacpe of the Garden of England has been created by centuries of diverse agriculture, hops, soft fruit, top fruit and market gardening. Today this is threatened by increasing dependency of a smaller range of crops grown increasingly intensively.
